Outside Sales Representative
Scheid Produce is seeking an individual to thoroughly conduct all sales activities, from lead generations through close, in an assigned territory. The individual will work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with the company vision and values.
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to execute on those plans.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Identify sales prospects and establish lines of communication.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Maintain current client relationships.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Manage account services through quality checks, collection of payment, etc.
- Communicate new produce and service opportunities, specials developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Coordinate with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Develop and implement special sales activities to move and reduce stock.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Three to five years of produce and/or food service sales experience.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
- Willingness to travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and automobile.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel.
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
